The Cedrus Deodora is native to the western Himalayas. They are normally seen as shrub and grown outdoors, but we’ve pruned it into a bonsai-esque appearance. It will grow well in bright light, sprouting new growth in a spearmint blue/green from the needle-like pine leaves.

Approx dimensions: 26″H x 24″W

The Cedrus Deodora is a species of cedar that in it’s natural habitat will grow into massive trees, reaching 40–50 m (131–164 ft) tall. This one, however, won’t reach such height unless you decide to plant it outside.

The Cedrus is planted in one of our 12lb handmade terra cotta pots within porous soil that drains well. As the Cedrus grows, it will take on a weeping willow affect with its pines pointing downwards.

Water in sips and watch it drain. Do not dump water, the process should be slow. Water frequency will depend on your environment. Test the soil with your finger, it should feel gritty and dry to the touch 1″ down from the top before the next watering cycle.
